Paul McCartney’s Out There! concert to take place Nov. 25 at São Paulo’s Allianz Parque will be broadcast live online on the Brazilian TV network Multishow, according to a report Nov. 25 on GUIA.UOL.com.
Using the hashtag #PaulPraVcNoMultishow, fans can suggest songs on Twitter. The network said this is the first time this has been done in Brazil. During transmission, the network said, selected tweets will appear on the TV screen. The broadcast began at 21h20 (5:20 p.m. ET/2:20 p.m. PT), with a delay of 20 minutes of the start of the presentation. There’s been no word on whether it’ll be available in the U.S.
McCartney will play two shows in the second, with the final show Wednesday. It’ll be the final show in the final schedule “Out There!” tour show for the year.
McCartney’s “Out There!” tour began in April in Uruguay and wound through South America, Central America and the United States before the final shows in South America. A series of shows in South Korea and Japan were cancelled after McCartney contracted a serious virus.
The tour included a sold-out show in August at San Francisco’s Candlestick Park, just shy of 49 years to the day after the Beatles played their last ticketed show there in 1966. The McCartney concert was held to close down the venue known mainly as a sports areana for football and baseball. It is now being taken apart in preparation for demolition next year. The site, located on the shores of San Francisco Bay in South San Francisco, is planned to become converted to a shopping center and housing development.
